From Arcachon
Beaches, salt marshes, then harbours.
Leave Arcachon’s beaches for the salt marshes and continue towards La Hume, its harbour and beach. The coastal path then reveals the different atmospheres of Gujan-Mestras’s seven harbours.
Oyster-farming huts, boats, vegetation and scenery that changes with the tides: let your walk follow the rhythm of the place. Leave time for pauses, encounters and viewpoints.
Our tasting stop · Port de Meyran Ouest
Chez Bidart, a taste of the Bay.
As you explore the harbours, stop at Chez Bidart for an oyster tasting. A table looking out over the landscape, and time to savour the setting as much as the walk.
Our suggestion for discovering more of Gujan-Mestras through the pleasures of the Bay. Check opening times before visiting.

Beyond Port de La Mole
Your stop after the seven harbours.
Continue to Port de La Mole, the last harbour in Gujan-Mestras. L’Adresse du Bassin lies just beyond this area, around 600 m from the coastal path.
The pleasure of putting down your bag, taking a shower and finding a space of your own. A terrace to rest on, a kitchen to prepare a meal or a nearby restaurant to extend the evening: your stopover is part of the journey, too.

For the following days
From Le Teich to the harbours of Biganos, then Audenge.
Nature at Le Teich — The coastline and bird reserve
The next day, continue towards Le Teich and the path alongside the bird reserve. Marshes, birds and delta landscapes bring a different character to the walk.
Continue your journey — Biganos, Port des Tuiles and Audenge
The colourful huts of Biganos harbour, Port des Tuiles, then Audenge and the Certes and Graveyron estates form the next part of the journey. Plenty of landscapes for planning further stages and lovely breaks.
A suggested route to explore in several stages, depending on your pace, your chosen itinerary and which paths are open.
